5 Summer activities

Here's is a guide to our 5 activities listed in our last blog. Each activity includes an estimated budget. 

Activity 1: Outdoor Scavenger Hunt
- Make a list of items that can be found in the surrounding area (e.g. pinecone, rock, flower, etc.)
- Divide staff into teams and give each team a list
- Set a time limit and see which team can find all the items on the list first
- Offer a prize for the winning team

Budget:

Free-very minimal.



Activity 2: Beach Day
- Plan a day trip to a nearby beach or lake
- Bring beach games such as volleyball, frisbee, or cornhole
- Provide snacks and drinks for everyone to enjoy
- Encourage staff to bring their own beach gear (e.g. towels, sunscreen, etc.)

Budget:

- Transportation to and from the beach: $200

- Food and drinks: $300

- Beach games and equipment: $150



Activity 3: Volunteer Work
- Find a local charity or organization that needs volunteers
- Plan a day where staff members can volunteer together
- Offer incentives such as paid time off or a donation to the charity for employees who participate.

Budget:

Free to very minimal 


Activity 4: BBQ Cook-Off
- Have a company-wide BBQ where staff members can show off their grilling skills
- Encourage everyone to bring their favorite side dish or dessert
- Have employees vote on the best dish and offer a prize to the winner

Budget:

- Food and drinks: $500

- Prizes for winners: $100



Activity 5: Summer Sports Tournament
- Organize a tournament for a popular summer sport such as softball, kickball, or basketball
- Have teams made up of staff members compete against each other
- Offer a prize for the winning team

Budget:

- Equipment: $200

- Prizes for winners: $100

Keep in mind that these are just estimates and costs may vary depending on location, number of staff members, and other factors.
